Is is Christmas or Valentine's?

I took a picture similar to this on Christmas Eve 2009. This was Februrary 11, 2010 after it had been snowing for a few hours.
A view down the street. Unbelievable for us!

I tried to get a measurment on the depth. It snowed all day Thursday, and Friday, the offical count was 12 inches!

We don't own a snow shovel! Dad did some snow moving with his dirt shovel. The snow was so heavy it wouldn't form into a ball so he had to use other measures to make his snow people.

He filled the garbage can for the bodies and a gallon bucket for the heads. He placed them close together and then he took out his cement trowel and carved their forms.

Here is his Valentine's creations. I was impressed with his unique form.

They"re kissing - how romantic!

After the snowpeople, we went down to the park to feed the ducks. We've never been so welcomed. Lot of times we go down during good weather and the ducks don't care too much. They made lots of noise this time. It was fun!

Grandma spreading the food for the ducks. Just this past summer I finally gave my snow boots away because I hadn't used them in 15 years! Boy did I need them that day.

Here we are trudging up the hill near Jared and Jamie's looking for a place to slide down. Notice Jared's great sled. A piece of cardboard wrapped in a plastic garbage bag.
Jackson and Colin enjoyed their ride in the wagon. Colin kept eating the snow.

This picture is in Jared's back yard. Jared and Jackson both made it down the hill.

It was a beautiful storm. Lots of tree limbs got busted, people were out of electricity. We were just stuck at home watching videos and drinking hot chocolate.

A picture Dad got, just to remember. They said the last big storm we had like this was in 1979. We had just got moved into the garage at the barn house. I remember Michelle and Heidi going out and playing in the snow. We've had other snowstorms through the years. Remember when dad would pull us on the back of his truck? This was, however the most snow I've seen since we moved from Utah.

It was white, it was cold, it was wet. It was great, now we want it to melt so we can go outside and walk. Happy Valentine's to eveyone, eventhough it looks like Christmas.

The snowpeople getting closer and more friendly as the day went on. In the true spirit of Valentine's Day! Love to all of you! MOM
