Fall Festival 2010

Here I am, one of the rich and famous! I thought I dressed up so cool with my sequin top and Hollywood lips. When Jared saw me he said, "What are you suppose to be?" It shattered my image, but I still had fun pretending to look cool.
Nathan and Nicole, Shelby and Ethan dressed from the story, The Wizard of Oz. They had the best costumes. We all attended the Fall Festival out at the Zufelts ranch. Lots of good food.

Here's the other missing Oz member, Linkin as the Lion. Grandpa came as Grandpa.

Ethan got to shoot his first bow and arrow and he did a terrific job.

The guide was surprised that Ethan could get the arrow in the hay on his first try. Ethan really liked doing this. Now he wants his own bow and arrow.

Here is a pose with the huge bonfire in the background.

There was a little petting zoo. Here Shelby is with the goats.

Two cousins out for a good time. Notice Ethan's big ax. That was popular with the other boys.

Two little cousins safe in their mom's grasp.

What a great group of kids. Notice Shelby's ruby red slippers.

Lane had these cute little dog ears.

Time for "trunk and treat". We had lots of candy since this activity was held after Halloween.
Colin loved filling his bucket. Colin loves candy!

Shelby got help from her Daddy, abd she managed to end up with a full bucket of candy. Good job, Daddy.

Little Colin is so funny. His face is covered in candy, his hands are sticky, and he is so happy to be holding on to a bucket of candy.

Jackson was excited about something here.

Here's Thane Zufelt on his horse stopping the hayride and asking us to be on the alert for runaway Indians.

This is Ethan's face after he found out there was a problem with Indians. It took him awhile to understand it was just pretend.

We had a great time at the Fall Festival. It was a perfect evening. You could see the stars. Over 200 people attended. It started out years ago as a small gathering. This year they had to take 4 hayrides out and each time it was loaded to overflowing. It wasn't the old fashioned kind of hayride. This one had kids yelling, teenagers jumping on and off, some kid with a fake gun blasting Grandpa ears the whole time. It was still fun to be out with our family, we'll probably skip the hayride next year and watch the washtub band instead. Some guy really played a washtub. They asked Jared to bring his guitar. Maybe next year.

Ethan and I had fun with our wax lips. I found them at Central Market for 23cents each. When I was a kid those were the best things. They also tasted good and we would chew on them. These did not taste good. We just had fun playing with them. Hope eveyone had a good Halloween.
