Visit from our Great Aunts and Uncles

On October 17, 2008 Alfred and Elaine and Alan and Diane, Michael's sisters came to Texas. Each brought their own big trailers and set up camp at Bridgeport Lake. Alan made stew and cobbler "dutch oven style."

We invited them to our house for some homemade soup, peach cobbler and Blue Bell.

(White Chocolate Almond and Snickerdoodle flavors.) We never get White Chocolate Almond!

They said they liked our house and all sat at Michael's own built table.

Half of the Blaine and Ila family. Michael, Diane, Elaine. The sisters said they needed to come and see "their baby brother." Elaine has been recovering from breast cancer, an appedectomy, and a broken leg.

Diane showed all of us how to do a trick with this ring and chain. She gave it to Jackson to play with and he figured it out on his own. Here he is trying to teach Jamie how it works. No one else could do it. What a smart boy!

We took a trip to the Fort Worth Stockyards. This is "Ole Jake", young Jackson, big Christy and Jamie with baby Colin.

Cute Christy and the pumpkins.

Three happy pumpkin sitters.

"Y'all come to Ft. Worth!

This is the Amazing Cowpen Maze at the Stockyards. You can observe from the deck above.

Hopefully we'll get a chance to do this when Heidi comes to town.

Too bad for these two

Diane explores the boot store.

We all went to Joe T. Garcia's, our favorite place for Mexican food.

See how happy this place makes people. However, it was very crowded and very noisy , but the food was great. Elaine and Alfred, and Diane and Alan left for home from there. When we got outside the restuarant, Jackson said, "Where did my new friends go?" He enjoyed their visit too.

Hmm - I had a typo in my first comment. I guess that one stays though.

Very cool that your sisters came to town. They look like they had a great visit. The pictures of JT Garcias' bring back fond memories for me. I loved their tortillas and guacamole!
