Turning 60 was one of the greatests days of my life as I celebrated with the love of my life Michael...

and beautiful Michelle who left her 3kids and husband and flew down from Colorado and

my gorgeous daughter Heidi who planned the whole surprise from her desktop in Utah, and

adorable Christy who rode the train from Austin without her mother knowing anything.

And there's that wonderful son Adam who came all the way from California. In the back sits Jared, Jamie , Jackson and Colin who knew all about the surprise. Ibelieved Jared when he said he was taking the day off the help me celebrate. I figured we would go out for pizza or something.

I absolutely love this picture of these beautiful daughters. Thank you each for coming to Texas.

We ate dinner in this fancy resturant in downtown Ft. Worth, called Simply Fondeau. You got to cook your food starting with a cheese dip with breads, then meats and finally chocolate with fruits, cake, pretzels and not to mention the flaming marshmellos.

What a terrific picture of my outstanding son, Adam and his youngest sister cute Christy. You both look so great and make me so proud to be related to you.

Here's my youngest son Jared, who is so smart and so caring. I appreciate him wanting me to have a good birthday and he, Jamie, Jackson and Colin were all there to celebrate and to eat yummy fondeau.

This is Adam, right before he announced to me he had to leave to do some shopping. Adam, who never lies, told me he needed to look for some cowboy boots for Thomalee. So he and Heidi left the resturant before the final moments of cheesecake and the singing of Happy Birthday. How did you like your boots, Tomalee?

This picture sums it all up. It was great and exciting and wonderful and tremedous and don't you all wish you could have been there. (Well lots of you were there!)

The flaming pots where we cooked our marshmellos. Colin looks a little concerned.

Happiness with the pot of chocolate. It's hard to describe just how delicious that last pot was. Next time,( maybe when I turn 70) I'll go for the chocolate pot first!

I was given this big piece of cheesecake as a final offering to the birthday girl who turned 60. It truly was the best birthday I ever had in all my life.

Christy took advantage of this avaliable couch to rest after her evening. We were all so full and felt just like this.
*Postscript: My wonderful son Nathan is missing from these pictures. I was unaware at the time, but bless his soul, Nathan and his baby Shelby were flying in to DFW to surprise me. Later I answered a knock at the door and there he and Shelby were. Having Shelby come on my birthday was a gift never to be forgotten. Thanks again Nicole.

Eating fondue was a great experience that I hope to have again sometime. I'm still looking for those boots...
