Wax Candles and Gingerbread Houses on New Year's Eve

I got some cheap candles at Wal-Mart and we decided to make wax castles. We started out in the sink. Our results were pretty good.
Grandma was real proud of her creation.

Dad went to the garage and came back with this big bucket and then things really got going.

Christy posed for this one, remember how the wax gets stuck on your skin, but it doesn't hurt!

Jamie got into it and she just kept going and going. We tried mixing colors and using different plates, bowls, cups. It was a whole lot of fun on New Year's Eve.

Our results. I wish you could see just how great they looked. We didn't want to dispose of them, but we were out of plates to eat on.

Using lots of left over graham crackers and candies we created these houses. I'd like to challange everyone to make a house next year and submit photos.

There's always next year!

I remember being a little freaked out about wax castles when I was younger... haven't done those for a long time.

You are on for a gingerbread challenge next year

I think I'm going to accept the challenge on the gingerbread house. I've always wanted to make them!
