I went to Portland, Oregon to visit my sister Lynne Nicloles and Debbie met me there. It was so beautiful there. We skipped out of Sunday school and took some pictures to show the colorful foliage.

Can you believe how red this bush is? They were all over the area. I think they call it "Flaming Bush." Here is my sister, Debbie. She teaches orchestra and chorale in Hurricane, Utah. She plays the violin, piano, and cello and sings too. She got blessed with the musical talent.

Mike Nicholes, Lynne's husband is home more now and likes to help in the house. He set this beautful table and we ate off of these fancy dishes, in Lynne's elaborate dinning room. Their son, Ben and his wife and two kids live with them. They were lots of fun.

Debbie and I had lots of fun. Our sister Lynne was surprised we were so fun and entertaining. They don't call us the "Great Aunts" just because we are the old aunts! We're a barrel of laughs.

Lynne and Mike drove us up to see these amazing waterfalls. I saw them on the travel channel. It was a great experience.

I'm so glad Debbie and I got this time together. We shouldn't have waited so long to go on a trip together. Now we are planning to do it annually.

I caught this picture as we were on the move up the trail to the falls. You can see the bridge in the background. That's where we're headed to take more pictures.

Up in the forest we visited I saw these trees with moss growing all over them. Just a sign of the area. you wouldn't find alot of this in Texas. However, we have had so much rain, I think I'll go check my trees out front.

Debbie turned 55 while we were there. We had a little party for her.

Lynne had two or three sewing machines. She does beautiful embrodiery work on her sewing machine. This was just one of the many quilts she had in progress.

This is the view from the outside deck.

A side view of the house with the two fireplaces.

The front of Lynne's house. It doesn't look like it is 6000 sq. feet from the outside, but it does inside. It has three floors. Four bedrooms upstairs and six bathrooms, and a formal living and dinng plus a den and basement. Every wall was covered with a beautiful painting or enlarged picture of their family. She had several dining hutches filled with china, or crystal or hundreds of procelin figurines and other treasures. Truly beautiful, but I left there not wanting and grateful I didn't have to clean any of it. I did vacumn for her while I was there.

Looks like good sister time.
It looks so beautiful there.
Glad you had a great time :)
How nice to spend time with your sisters. You are definitely the cutest sister! The pictures of Oregon remind me of rain forest in Costa Rica.
