Have you heard of wakeboarding without a boat. Dad found this spot on the Trinity River to visit and watch. Who's up for the adventure? We took a picture only, we did not do this.

This is more like what we do- sit back and relax. We got to tend Jared and Jamie's kids one Sunday while they celebrated their anniversary. Lane got real comfortable on Grandpa's lap.

We got a yard plus of sand dumped in our frontyard, so we threw a sandpile party.

After the sand playing it was time for a bath with the bugs-this only happens at Grandma's house.

Dad took me to Grandbury to watch their 4th of July parade. A salute to the veterans!

This was Dad's favorite float. Those big silver ducts are blowing air-conditioned air onto the parade watchers.

It was a good and happy parade. Lots of people dressed in red, white and blue. We were able to experience the heat, the bands, the flags and the pride of being American. Then we headed for the air-condition car and lunch.

We spent the evening with Jared and Jamie. This is a picture of Lane after several pieces of watermelon.

Before we left to watch the fireworks, we each had a chocolate sundae. Another 4th celebrated and half the summer is over. It has been a very hot one!!!
