The Memorial lies out in the harbor on top of the sunken ship Arizona.

This is the boat the Navy takes you out on to see the Memorial.

Seepage of oil from the ship on the surface. A continual reminder that the ship is there.

A list of names of those who lie beneath the water. We saw a Horrocks listed.

This is the World War II ship, The Missouri. We got to go on board and tour the whole ship.
We saw the guns on the top, and then went down to where the captain gave his orders and
where the sailors bunked and ate. It had a huge kitchen and bakery.

Here we are after the tour. You can see how big the ship is!.

Dad at a gun site.

This is the very spot where General McArthur and the Japanese representative stood to sign the surrender in Tokyo. There are copies to view of the documents that were signed to end the war.
This same ship was the first to send shots in Desert Storm. We enjoyed our tour alot.

Very cool! I'm glad you guys were able to check this out.
Neat pictures!
I bet that was a sobering experience to visit the site. It is always different to see something like that in real life.
