Our summer vacation officially began after graduation. We took Christy down to Austin for orientation. Michael and I found this cool swimming place west of Austin called Krause Pool. It's a natural spring surrounded by cypress trees. It was a fun place.

On June 20th we started out for Utah and stopped at Palo Duro Canyon for the night. This is one of my favorite places to camp. It's near where Michelle and Stacy used to live. This deer greeted us as we were getting breakfast. Christy slept in her own tent this vacation.

Our next stop was Lake Powell. This is another one of my favortie places. The water was up much higher than the last time we visited.

This is the place we always go swimming. The Coves. You can see Christy down by the water and Dad heading down. The water is so cold, clean and green. It takes your breath away to plunge in @ 60 degrees, but it is so refreshing because it is so hot at Lake Powell.

Christy in her tent and the beautiful lake in the background.

Climbing on the rocks and giving us her pose. "I'm here world, 18 years old and you better take notice."

Dad and Christy talking life over. Actually, I think Dad had just thrown a big ball of mud at her.

Our bathing beauty all grown up. No more pictures of "our little Christy." Looking good!

Here's Mom with her arms in a triumphant pose. "I did it, I got Christy raised and on to adulthood." Mostly, I was just glad I didn't fall off the rock into the lake below.
