When Food is a Work of Art

This is a picture of the Gingerbread House my students created this year in Second Grade. This is the 20th house I helped with at school. It is fun to see what they do with the different candies.
I wanted to post some pictures of our festive Christmas foods. Christy created these beautiful chocolate pretzels. Chocolate with sprinkles and cruched peanuts, and white chocolate with cruched oreos. She gets a 10 for plating them some pretty.

Our Christmas Table. I did put on a tray of fruit and a tray of veggies. Those seemed to get passed over for the trays of goodies.

Christmas Breakfast is truly a work of art.

Colin and Jackson helped me make a trifle.

We made Christmas cookies together and decorated them.

I made these onion and cheese rolls one night and thought they looked so great.

Just so Thomalee knows I used her trifle bowl. I created this beautiful trifle and used anglefood cake, lemon curd, whipped cream and all kinds of fruit. It was yummy.

I know I'm a big preacher on eating whole and organic foods. Sometimes there is a place for creating beautiful foods and also an excuse to eat them. Is this hypocrisy?

This makes me hungry. We Abraham's know how to eat!
